Inspired by one of the biblical verses recounting the origin of everything, “proj_ADAM” explores the profound implications of a world in which technology is no longer just a tool at the mercy of man, but a potential substitute for divinity itself. At a time when artificial intelligence and virtual reality are redefining the boundaries of existence, “proj_ADAM” raises a fundamental question:
in assimilating technology as an integral part of ourselves,
are we rewriting the very essence of humanity?

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

The installation runs on a custom-built TouchDesigner pipeline, integrating StreamDiffusion directly within the node-based environment via the StreamDiffusionTD component. The system is deliberately calibrated to run at 18-20 FPS, maintaining fluidity while allowing the AI-generated hallucinations to linger just long enough to be perceived, creating a dream-like persistence of vision. The video input is captured through a specific spherical webcam to resemble a mechanical eye.
